                                If I could go on vacation anywhere in the world , I would definitely chose the United States of America . Since I was really young , it has always been my dream to travel to this amazing and marvelous country . This country has so many interesting places to visit and much culture and history behind its colourfull flag. For all theses reasons , the United States of America would de the perfect destination for my dream vacation.

Thesis statement and introductory paragraph

             Topic : Nowadays , food has become easier to prepare. Has this change improved the way people live? 

              Thesis statement : Eating quicker doesnt mean eating better, because our health partially depends on how we prepare our meals and the kind of food we consume. 

                Introductory paragraph : 

             Nowadays , many aspects of our lives are easier to deal with ,than what they were years ago. For instace: comunicating with other people, going from one place to another , and obviously the time we spend preparating food. Since our workdays have become busier , we dont have as many time as we did to have lunch or to prepare any other meal . For this reason most people rahter buying produtcts of instant food like Yatecomo or buying fast food in restaurants like McDonald's or KFC. However , eating quicker doesnt mean eating better, because our health partially depends on how we prepare our meals and the kind of food we consume. 

Enjoy every moment.

                                          At the same moment that something starts , its end has been already set. This fact , has been going around my mind often this week. At the very same moment we are born, the date of our death is selected , this is an unanswerable truth. Nevertheless,  we are never ready to face it. We live our daily routine without realising that every wake up , every moment we spend with our loved ones and every breath can be our last. Most people live their lives complaining about things they dont have , money, fame ,etc... but in exchange, they are never thankful about what they have. The truth is that it doesnt matter if you are poor or rich , if you are single or married , if you are famous or not ; the two most important things that a human can have is love and their own life. We all are blessed with the miracle of life , and this is the best gift that we can receive . In conclusion , you  never know when you are going to reach your end, but you can enjoy every moment at its maximum, for this reason , dont waste your life complaining , because we only have one life and we have to live it happily.

                                     Yesterday, my mum asked me to go with her to the supermarket , it all seemed like another normal afternoon for me ; but then I saw something that turned my mind upside down. When we entered the supermarket , I noticed a homeless man siting at the entrance of the building. However , this man was not like any other beggars I had seen before ; he was not asking for money or food , he was asking for help. Nevertheless ,my mum and I just passed by , thinking he was just trying to get some attention in order to get some money.  Later that day , when I was on my way home from the gym , I saw the same man again, but this time , he was crying his heart out . Inmediately , I stopped by his side and asked him if he was ok , but I was definetly not ready for what I was about to hear. He told that he had become homeless recently and that he had been trying to get some help to get up and recover ; whereas people had just passed him by , ignoring him like he didnt existed. This last phrase remained in my mind till I got home , and finally when I entered my home , I broke down into pieces. I realised that I had been one of those people that had ignored him , making him feel like he was worthless without no right to live. In conclusion , you never know what its going on in somebody's life ; you dont know if he is begging for money to spend it on drugs and alcohol , or if he is begging for help and compassion ; however the less you can do is at least to look at them and make them feel as humans.

Our future

                                              Have you ever thought about how your life will be in the future? This question rounds my mind everyday . Nowadays , life is getting more and more harder , our country's economic situation gets worse and worse everyday , and its extremely difficult to find a job . This affects especially to our generation , we have been caught in the middle of the Economic Crisis, and the most of us will become unemployed when we finish our career. I know that this is a pessimistic way of thinking , but its the truth . Its completely disheartening to know that , it doesnt really matter if you have one career , a master and a doctorate; maybe you will end up working in your local MCDonald's or inmigrating to another country in an atempt to find a better life. To sum up , our future is all dark , and its frustrating to know that the only thing we can do is to look and hope the best.

Contrastive Paragraph

If we pay attention to those two pictures, we can be inmediately aware of the number of differences between them . In the  first photograph we can see two teenagers while in the second there is an average man , there is a huge difference of age. Another difference could be the type of music that they play , the first picture seems to represent pop, rock and even punk music, but the second symbolises classic music. Those two pictures also differ in the kind of instrument those people use ; in the first one we can see an electric guitar , a mic and even a drum if we look at the background , its definetly a pop/rock band ; in contrast , in the second one we find a cello ,and there are also some music stands at the background which means that this man belongs to an orchestra.  In conclusion, those pictures are as opposite from each other as the moon and the sun.

               HOW CAN WE BEST REHABILITATE PRISONERS SO THAT THEY CAN BE PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY?


              One of the biggest problems of our society is the crime rate, and how this number is getting higher and higher everyday. When a criminal goes to jail the most possible thing to happen ,is that he or she reoffends when they get out. This is extremely dangerous because , if they dont get to rehabilitate before they get out , prisoners will probably be ten times more violent. Because of those reasons , it's really important to find a way of integrating them in our society again.

             To meet this need , we can teach them that there is another lifestyle waiting for them , another option. One answer could be , offering classes of varied subjects so that they can have the opportunity to learn a job or a proffesion . Another option is to keep them entertained by doing physical and culture activities , in other words , to show them how to spend their free time in an accurate way. To sum up , prisoners can live like normal people again , we just have to teach them how.

What Guernica makes me feel?

                                     

                       Guernica , more than a work of art. When Pablo Picasso painted this amazing picture , he meant to do more than a simple painting ; he wanted to create a portrait of the spanish's society during Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) . When I admire this piece of art , a lot of feelings knock at my soul's door : fear, sadness, despair , hunger... You can see by the way he painted it , that he wanted to express all that sorrow and distress the spanish citizens were suffering during the war . If I close my eyes and think of this period of my country's history , I can feel the fear of the people , the noise of the bombs and the desperation of the people who didnt know if they were going to live another day. In conclusion , this painting is not only a work of art , its a mirror through which you can live the war in your own skin. 

OPINION PARAGRAPH EXERCISE

       

                                Nowadays, Internet has become one of the most useful tools in the world. Thanks to Internet , we can always be connected with our families and Friends , no matter if we are in the same city or in different countries. That’s why Marz Zuckerberg , Facebook co-founder , has launch along with other people, a globlal campaign to support, that every single person in this world has the right to be in contact with their families, and have access to any necessary information. His campaign has the goal of bringing the Internet to the UN refugee camps . 

We all have heard about the terrible war that its taking place in Syria, and forcing millions of people to leave their country ,in order to save their lives.  Because of this situation , the UE  has opened some refugee camps , but in those camps , those people are not being trated like a person worths. I totally support Zuckerberg’s idea , because maybe we can’t eradicate the war or the hunger , but at least we can help those people live better by making them feel like normal people, and not like prisoners of war.

                                    My mother, a role model to follow. Since I can remember , my mother has always been by my side; from my ballet recitals when I was just a little girl, to the worst moments of my teenage years. If I had to describe my mum , I would define her as a cheerful , funny , caring , sweet and brave person; she always tries to give her best at everything that she does, and thats an admirable virtue. Aside of being my mother , she is my friend ; she always listens to my problems and give me some excellent advice . She's also the most reliable person I know , I can always tell her my secrets without fearing that she judges me or tell anyone ; and I really apreciate that because in this world , you never know who you can trust. Since I was really little my mum has always fought for me and my brother , and it has never mattered if it was easy or not , she has just done it , because her love for us is unconditional , that makes her not only a fantastic mother , but an incredible woman too.  Maybe the most valuable thing that I have learnt from her , is that I have to be myself no matter what; since I can remember she has always told me and my brother one phrase: the two most important things in live are love, and to be true to yourself. In conclusion , there are a lot of reason why I admire my mother , but the most important one is, that she has made me who I am.

 I live in a beautiful country named Spain . This country is full of history , gastronomy and culture , and that makes it a wonderful place to live. Every year , millions of turists come to Spain , to visit its cathedrals , its museums and its culture events. One of the plenty of things that I most love about my country is its food; there are so many delicious typical dishes to try : paella, jamón , tapas... the list is infinite! Another famous thing about Spain are its festivities , and its a obvious fact that spanish people love parties; it doesnt matter where part of spain you decide to visit , there is always a party waiting for you!
